About Bugesera district
Bugesera District is one of the 30 districts in Rwanda. It is located in the Eastern Province. It shares a border with Burundi to the south. It borders Kicukiro District on the north. It has borders with Ngoma District and Rwamagana District to the east. It shares borders with Kamonyi, Ruhango, and Nyanza districts to the west.
According to the 2022 national population census, Bugesera District has 551,103 residents and an area of 1,337 km². Administratively, the district is separated into 581 settlements, 72 cells, and 15 sectors.
